The Observatory collects, processes, organizes and publishes data, advises, and offers educational content to policy makers, industry and citizens.
Statutory objectives of the observatory are: the production, collection, organization, distribution and promotion of specialist knowledge and data on cultural processes and relevant public policies in Europe and Asia.
The observatory's activities and projects focus (but are not limited to) regionally specific knowledge on Southeast Europe, Russia and East Asia with an emphasis on comparing and analyzing cultural processes connecting EU countries and countries bordering the Union with East Asian countries and cultures.
